Terms of Order
All prices quoted exclude postage and packing.
Payment is required as we start on your order as each Box is handmade to your specifications. We endeavour to despatch as soon as possible, or by your requested date, but please allow 7-14 days to arrive, as demand can be very high.
Once your order has been placed, you may cancel the order within 24 hours by notifying us by telephone or e-mail although an administration charge of £6 may be incurred for cancelled orders if your order is currently being made in the workshop.
Sizes quoted on our website or brochure are usually internal measurements & can have very minor variations due to board depth variations and the boxes being a handmade item, with the exception of Travel Boxes where sizes quoted are the maximum external size, due to hand luggage requirements. For exact requirements (i.e. to fit an item or space) please contact us directly so that we can advise you on your requirements, or fill in our bespoke form for bespoke box sizes.
Any damage, or errors, although rare, must be reported within 24 hours of receipt of parcel.
Returns or exchanges are accepted within 14 days of receipt. Please notify us of your decision within 48 hours. Returns are not accepted on personalized items or special request boxes unless they are faulty. Carriage charges are non-refundable.
Please return Items for refund in perfect condition and in their original packaging to protect from damage.
The carriage to return or exchange an item is the responsibility of the customer but we will despatch any replacement without a carriage charge. Errors originating with the Empty Box Company shall be rectified by the company.
The Empty Box Company cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss or late arrival of any order.
Shopping Basket price errors can occur occasionally, and The Empty Box Company will notify the customer should any item be incorrect. List prices are to be adhered to. Please check all details are correct in your confirmation.
Delivery requires a signature, so please ensure an appropriate delivery address is given where a signature can be obtained.
Please ensure the courier is responded to immediately if they have attempted delivery. If no communication is received from the recipient, the parcel will be returned to The Empty Box Company, and this will incur extra redelivery charges. If you foresee a problem please add clear delivery instructions e.g. ‘If out, leave at no.4’
