Standard Delivery is £6.95 per parcel and orders are despatched, asap when ready, on a 2 day courier service.

Please remember we are not just taking our boxes off the shelf; each & every order is handmade individually for each customer. We endeavour to despatch as soon as possible, or by your requested date, but it is good to allow time for your box to arrive in your selected design, as at certain times of year demand can be very high and the workshop becomes very busy. We are currently experiencing unprecedented demand due to the large number of weddings in 2022 & 2023, and orders are taking a longer than the usual 7-10 days. We will send you an email advising of the current time for delivery. However if you need something straight away, please choose from our “Ready to Go” section, or let us know of your required by date.

Ready to Go Designs

If your order is urgent, it is helpful to select “Any Available Design” plus you can upgrade your order for £3.50 by selecting “fast-track”. When you pay for fast track service, your order will be put forward in the queue to make in the workshop, (or if your box is already in stock, it will go out straight away.) When the box is ready it will go on an overnight courier, so this will speed up the process of your order. Please feel free to phone us to discuss any urgent requirements.

We use a courier such as DPD Local to deliver your parcel, and this requires a signature, so please ensure an appropriate delivery address is given where a signature can be obtained.

You will receive an email/text (mobile numbers only) from us advising you when your box is being despatched, and one from the courier with further delivery advice with an approximate delivery time within 1 hour. In the event of the courier attempting delivery when you have not been in, please respond immediately to the courier card. If no communication is received from the recipient, the parcel will be returned to The Empty Box Company, and this will incur extra redelivery charges. If you foresee a problem please add clear delivery instructions e.g. “If out, leave at no.4”

Calligraphy on your box will add approx. 1 extra week to the delivery time of your box, even if fast-tracked.

We do try to meet your required dates if we can, but The Empty Box Company cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss or late arrival of any order.
