You can stay overnight on “Downton Abbey” Estate

Highclere Castle, the Berkshire country estate where Downton Abbey is filmed, has opened an on-site hotel called London Lodge. The estate has been open already for Downton tours, but this is the first time it is possible to stay for the night. The sixth and last series of Downton Abbey has been shown in the UK, but premiered in the US this January. The Empty Box Company has been absolutely delighted to make boxes for the Downton Abbey series, featuring mostly in the bedrooms, especially when the characters were preparing to dress for something special, taking clothes from Hat Boxes and Dress Boxes. I had three Bespoke Hat Boxes made for me all those years ago (1993) in my left over French wall paper I had in my London bathroom. It was a very grand bathroom. I've moved since, always with these boxes. To the Cotswolds, to Saint Remy de Provence, and now to Naples, Florida. They are going to be someone's long after I am gone. Much adored, thank you! I must admit that initially, I hesitated about placing an order for what seemed effectively like just an empty box. Well, I stand corrected!
