Your hat. Or was it a fascinator? Perhaps even a showstopper with fresh flowers that turned heads as you entered the marquee? Whatever headpiece you accessorised with this season, it is likely now languishing on the top of your wardrobe or accumulating miles in the back of your car. And the trouble is, just a bent feather, or unshaped brim, often means you can’t wear it again. We can do better than that.

At The Empty Box Company, our elegant, handmade boxes are designed with beauty and protection in equal measure. Whether you wore a classic shape or something more extravagant, we have the perfect size and shape to keep it safe, season after season. And each box can take 2-3 hats (depending on the style, of course).
Which Box is Right for You?
We offer a collection of hat boxes in both circular and octagonal shapes. Each available in 4 different sizes (mini, small, midi & large). All are made in our Devon workshop using pH neutral board (which protects any delicate fabrics from yellowing or degrading).
- Mini or Small Hat Boxes are perfect for fascinators or small compact hats.
- Midi or Large Circular Hat Boxes are suitable for wide-brimmed pieces, showstoppers, or heirloom accessories.
- Octagonal Hat Boxes in all if the above sizes, are very sturdy & provide a unique statement silhouette, whilst still having plenty of room for your hats. They are particularly durable if travelling with a hat. Cord handles are available.
- Bespoke size; on occasions we have made an Super Large Hat Box by arrangement for a super large brimmed hat!
Each box comes with acid-free tissue paper and finished with elegant ribbon on the lid. There are many designs to choose from on our website, all of which are high-end British Interior Design Papers. Elegant, Timeless, and Far Too Lovely to hide away!
