Planting Trees, Protecting Tomorrow
We are thrilled to share the progress of our exciting tree planting project undertaken this past winter. As part of our commitment to sustainability and eco-friendliness, over the past few years, we have embarked on a journey to create a native UK woodland right here on the land surrounding our workshop. This project is not just about offsetting our carbon footprint; it’s about fostering a thriving habitat for local wildlife and embracing our love for trees.
Our team has personally planted a diverse array of native UK species, including rowan, silver birch, sessile oak, sweet chestnut, and hazel. Each tree plays a vital role in enhancing biodiversity and creating a nurturing environment for wildlife. We believe that taking direct action is crucial, and that’s why we’ve rolled up our sleeves and planted every single tree ourselves.
At The Empty Box Company, we are deeply committed to becoming a net zero company, and this woodland project is a significant step towards that goal. We are proud to be part of the global movement to combat climate change and are excited to contribute positively to our environment. We hope our efforts inspire you, plus other small UK businesses to make a difference, however small, as much as they enrich our local ecosystem. This winter we have planted 550 trees, (quite alot of digging!) and would like to say thank you to our customers who have supported our journey towards a greener future!
